Westminster Abbey to be lit for Lumiere London Festival
Monday, 4th January 2016
Westminster Abbey will be the spectacular backdrop for a light installation as part of Lumiere London, the city's first major light festival. The exterior of the Abbey will be lit each evening of the festival, from Thursday 14th - Sunday 17th January 2016.

On the north wall of St Margaret's Church is a cartouche to John Bull, an eminent rich merchant (according to his entry in the register).

Composer, Musician and Priest/Minister
The Reverend Luke Flintoft, composer, was a Minor Canon of Westminster Abbey from 1720-1727 and was buried in the south cloister on 6th November 1727.

Lady Anne Stanley, Countess of Ancrum was buried in the chapel of St Nicholas on 15th February 1657 but she has no gravestone remaining.

Joseph Dalby, apothecary, was buried at the east of the south cloister on 27th July 1784. He seems never to have had an inscribed gravestone.
